Lyrics (from LyricWiki.org):
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
So scared of breaking it
That you won't let it bend
And I wrote two hundred letters
I will never send
Sometimes these cuts are so much
Deeper then they seem
You'd rather cover up
I'd rather let [...]
Reviews:
Awesome new song from Maroon 5 The first time I watched the music video for this song, I was amused but wasn't incredibly impressed by the song. However, after watching it several more times, it is sufficiently stuck in my head. While I think Maroon 5 has some better hits ("Wake Up Call", "If I Never See Your Face Again"), there's no doubt that this song is super catchy and definitely has me looking forward to their new album release in September. Musically, it's not much new. It's the same sort of theme, and same musical style that Maroon 5 has always had. But that's what makes us love them in the first place, right?
Finding Joy in the Pain "Misery" is a catchy tune from the blue-eyed soul group Maroon 5. Usually, I've written off front man Adam Levine as the nasal, heterosexual version of Freddie Mercury. "Misery" has a pulsating rhythm, easy lyrics, and for something that's about an agonizing relationship, it's tuneful. It's one of Maroon 5's best. One could even say Maroon 5 has IMPROVED since the hugely annoying "This Love." "Misery" is sing-along friendly. It's that great. The chorus is rousing. A joyful song on a sad theme. Not miserable at all.
never miss an opportunity for maroon5 man, i'm so glad these guys are back. can't wait to hear them on tour.
Marooned Again There is no question that Maroon 5 hasn't really made anything new recently when it has came down their music, but Adam Levine has still showcased a great presence lately with his appearance as a part of the video game Band Hero. Still, Maronn 5 had been absent from the scene for awhile, but they are hoping for the status again in August when their 3rd record comes out. In the meantime, their latest single Misery from their upcoming album, is a back to basics form for the quirky pop sounds that made them so successful in the 2000 decade from songs like Wake-Up Call and Sunday Morning. Unlike Beyonce' or most of today's music scene lately, they definitely are on the right track to deliver again, and hopefully they'll knock it out of the ballpark yet again. Song: B-
Bouncy and chill. 3.5 stars. August 8th, 2010 Maroon 5 is FINALLY back, y'all! I saw their live show on TV in New York City and they were good. They premiered two of their new songs and also sang 'Misery' as well as some old hits. 'If I Ain't Got You' by Alicia Keys and a part of 'What's Love Got To Do With It' by Tina Turner were also on their roster and it was an hour and a half long show. I enjoyed it. Anyway, this song is kinda fun and breezy but it's not as good as some of their other songs, especially the singles. The video takes silly to a whole new level. And Adam makes out with that girl a lot. But yeah. It's OK. Pretty bouncy and is something to tide you over till September 21st when Hands All Over comes out. 3.5 stars or a 7/10.
